The Informative and Surprising Essay
Procrastination is the act or habit of procrastinating, or putting off or delaying, especially
something requiring immediate attention (dictionary.com). Most people either suffer from
procrastination or they look at it as a bad thing, but it can be a good thing.
Procrastination is a thing that most people deal with in one way or another. Whether you
do it yourself, or you know someone that does it. I know I have a hard time with it myself, especially
if it is something that I did not want to do in the first place. I will put it off until the very last minute
and do whatever it is I can instead of the task at hand. For example, this paper I am currently
writing, I’ve had an empty word document pulled up on my computer for the past couple of hours
just to put off doing it. I can come up with a few reasons why this happened, but whatever the
reason it ends up being it is something we all have to deal with one way or another.
On the other hand, procrastination can be a very good thing. Many people state that they
work better under pressure. For example, if someone originally had a week to do a certain task and
they wait until the day it is due, they will continue to work at it until it is done because they are now
