The Real Story
In the poem Barbie Doll by Marge Piercy shows a storyline about a young girl
who kills herself. Children go through a lot that parents don’t see so it is hard to help
them. In this poem the name of the young girl is Savannah. She had a good childhood
with many friends but once she moved and hit puppetry her life completely
changed. She did not kill herself just because of people. There is a whole other part
of the story that is being left out.
Savannah is an only child and her parents have a very good bond with her.
