Contracting and the FAR
Extent to which collective buying power of American people is protected by FAR
FAR stands for Federal acquisition requirements. FAR is a set of rules that defines the
terms that should be followed by a government agency while it aims to purchase something. The
guidelines, however, make it difficult to strike a balance in between fair acquisitions and the fast
acquisitions (Yasin, 2016). The Federal acquisition service has been set up so as to provide a
broad range of contract vehicles which can be used by the agencies of the government so that
