Part 3 Case Study: The Evolution of Lean Six Sigma at 3M, Inc.
Lean Six Sigma brings four approaches together that teams could use to improve
processes. Each approach has its own outcome, purpose, and tools. Teams then choose the most
suited approach in regards to the right project and the right time. This benefits 3M in their
decision making and training, as this program has a one hundred-sixty page manual for these
purposes. The four approaches use the process of defining, measuring, analyzing, improving, and
