The basis of the electoral college was developed and established because of feuding sides of
the second congressional convention in Philadelphia, the federalist and anti-federalist while writing
the United States Constitution. The electoral college can be described as a model of the election of
the executive office for the election of the president. The electoral college is a group of selected
individuals per state per political party to represent and cast votes based on the American populace
who meet after the general election and cast ballots for the president and the vice president. On the
premise of the principles used by the Romans and College of Cardinals, these fundamentals, and
historical representations helped shape and mold a platform for the electoral college.
The electoral college has changed from its original form in a few ways, initially, the electoral
college voted for the president while casting votes for two people with the person that had the most
