The effects of technology at work
Technology in the 21st century is ever more ubiquitous in careers, nearly as water is to
fish in a sense. What are the effects “technology gives and takes” (Bui) on society? It is a
resilient tool in a slew of professions, and is beneficial in a myriad of trades that have had a
betterment on our daily lives. Automation of tasks is beneficial for society as whole automotive
vehicles can be made cheaper and more swiftly than in days past, pharmaceutical corporations
produce medicine at an exponential rate compared to the inception of that industry.
