The Distinctive Nature of the Christian Moral Life
The distinctive nature of the Christian moral life is characterized by habits of virtue: the
practice of justice, pertaining to other-minded work, the cultivation of peacebleness when
approaching issues of state and government, the cultivation of practical wisdom in regard to
bioethics, the practicing of gentleness in the approach of sexual ethics, and the commitment to
displaying hope when viewing and dealing with God’s creation. Each of the above virtues and
resulting habits are part of the distinctive nature of the Christian moral life and work towards
