The Death of the Moth by Annie Dillard
In The Death of the Moth by Annie Dillard, the main point that is being told is that if you
have a dream, you must tackle it head without fear. Dillard explained this thesis through
detailing a certain event that occurred during a past camping trip of hers. One night while
camping alone in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, she was peacefully reading a novel by
James Ramsey Ullman. While reading her book, she noticed that several moths were attracted to
the flame of her candle. Moths would fly into the flame, and immediately be incinerated into
