The City Shines Brightest at Night: Mood, Morality, & Gilroy’s Nightcrawler
People make moral decisions everyday; some are automatic, some take careful thought,
and choice. The idea that mood can affect moral decisions, is exemplified in both articles, Do
Emotions and Morality Mix, and How Your Morals are Shaped by a Bad Mood. Both articles
discuss the Trolley Tracks experiment, and how mood can hinder one’s moral decision. The
Trolley Track experiment is where one has to make a decision to either push one man off a
bridge and into the way of the trolley to save five pedestrians, or to let the five pedestrians get hit
