Ibn Sina was also the most celebrated medical expert in the Islamic
world and in the medieval time of the West. He provided outstanding
contributions to the fields of medicine, pharmacology, and health
related subjects. He explored the field of medicine based on the
synthesis of philosophers like Galen, Hippocrates, and earlier Islamic
philosophers. However, for Ibn Sina, his medical philosophy provided
clear definitions to these terms.
Ibnu Sina wrote the most useful books on medicine, called Al Qanun
Fi At–Tibb (The Canon of Medicine).Ibnu Sina’s medicine became
representative of Islamic medicine mainly through this book. He
wrote about most of diseases descriptively. He also wrote about their
cures and discussed many medicines. Also, he hypothesized about
smaller organisms that can’t be seen with naked eyes (bacteria) that
cause various diseases.
He was a pioneer in pulsology. In the words of Ibnu Sina,”Every beat
