Intro to Theatre
For years now there has been a cultural shockwave in the form of three guys
painted blue. Not only have these guys captivated crowds in the United States, but also
people all over the world have enjoyed their shows. Regardless of where the shows are,
they have also managed to sell out the venues, leaving only standing room in the back to
people who didn’t think to buy tickets earlier. These performance artists are known as
the Blue Man Group and they have, without a doubt, taken the world by storm. The Blue
Man Group began as three bald cap wearing mute guys with an idea around 1990. For
this paper, I will discuss the beginnings of this group and what their shows consist of
throughout the years, how they went from being knew throughout the United States to
being known throughout the World, and ending with all of the awards and special honors
this group has received.
Starting with just three guys, they are now known throughout the world, and are
now not only known as great performers but incredibly popular figures in the major
theatre cities of the world: Chicago, New York, Boston, and even the wonderful land
