How Technology Has Impacted Communication
In these modern times technologies like the internet, the cellphone, computers, and social
media have changed the way people communicate with each other. People are now able to
communicate with one another from all of the ways across the world. It is much easier to stay
connected with your family and friends and the opportunity to meet new people over the internet
has skyrocketed. Cell phones have given people the ability to communicate in many different
ways with things like social media, texting, emailing, and now even face to face video chatting.
The internet has also provided people who may have a learning disability with the ability to
communicate properly with technologies like read-aloud, spellcheck, and predictive touch. The
internet has also given people the ability to work from home which is very important in this day
and age. Although there are many benefits there are still some concerns about the rise in online
communication. An increase in communication through the internet. cellphones and other
technologies have increased depersonalization in conversations and have changed today’s
modern society style of writing to create a wider variety of informal writing styles.
An increase in online communication has enabled people from all over the world to connect.
It allows people to move far away from their friends and family and still keep in touch with one
