Transportation is one of the main key component to any business because without it a
business cannot operate. Transportation is the movement of products from a given source to the
destination. Whether it’s coming from a plant, factory, or workshop to a warehouse, customer, or
retail store. Transportation include any traveling by air, water, road, pipeline or cable routes
using boats, trains, trucks, and telecommunication equipment as the means of transportation. One
of the key goal in any business is to minimize transportation cost while meeting the demand for
products.
Transportation cost is the cost to get the product from it source to its given destination,
the type of transportation, and the size and quantity of the product to be shipped. Transportation
cost can become very complexed due to the fact that there can be several sources and
