The Academic Truth
Throughout a students educational career he or she has always been taught that academic
dishonesty is not ethical. Although students have been taught to avoid cheating, they still engage
in academic dishonesty. The article, “Air Force Fires 9 Officers in Scandal Over Cheating on
Proficiency Test” is one example showing how academic dishonesty is common todays society.
Cheating constitutes a significant problem in academia and cannot be effectively prevented
because of technology.
