Governor Greg Abbott is the 48th Governor of Texas. He is currently the longest serving
Attorney General and also a Justice on the Texas Supreme Court. Abbott is a native of Texas and
was born in Wichita Falls. He has run in six races for public office and has won six. Abbott is a
conservative and very accomplished background not letting the fact that he is partially paralyzed
get in the way. In his time Abbott has vetoed a total of 42 bills this year. We will talk about a few
on those bills like HB 1015, SB 130, and SB 1034.
House Bill 1015 states relating to the notice provided to a court
regarding certain defendants placed on state jail felony community
