I think self assessment is very important because it is the most important step in
choosing an occupation or major, planning your career, and starting a job search.
Communicating and articulating your interests, skills, achievements, and values to
an employer is critical to a successful job search.
I wouldn’t say i’m as confident as i want to be when it comes to my own values,
skills, and interests. And definitely need more information on how pursue
it and handle situations better
One of the top tens careers i added to my list are, dental hygienist,
dealership owner, pharmacist and real estate. And the one that most
appeals to me is owning my own dealership because it’s the one I’m so
interested in and more familiar with it.
The career that appealed to me as a child was being a dental hygienist.
And as far as family and friends they always told me I was good at being
in the business field.
I found Maslow’s theory very useful and I would recommend it to others.
I would say real estate has the highest priority for now and I would say these
variables might change in the future because I would be experienced and familiar
with it.
According to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator i would say dental hygienist
and yes i think it’s a good option for me
