‘Tehran Taboo’ Reflection
On the surface, Ali Soozandeh’s Tehran Taboo is a beautifully shot and
animated film that takes place in the bustling city of Tehran, Iran. However,
underneath the uniquely styled mise-en-scene that permeates each scene, there lies
a poignant story about the everyday struggles of Tehran’s citizens. In this short
essay, I will discuss some aspects of Tehran Taboo that drew me in.
