A New Way to Technology
In a world where technology is incorporated into most of the population’s
everyday lives, developing students are challenged to learn much more throughout high
school. Having computers in the classroom is an important stepping stone to success
today because students need to be challenged to learn in a more efficient, modernized
way to keep up with the evolving world. Efficiency in today’s time is extremely
important in all aspects of life. The use of computers can teach students how to maintain
most efficiency in whatever they do. Having computers in the classroom not only
prepares the student for learning about new technology, but also encourages students to
reach a newer level of learning and thinking. Newer ways to teach students can help those
who have trouble keeping up with the rest of the class. Students with disabilities may find
computers much more helpful than lectures where they may have trouble taking in
information. These computers may help students learn not only in the classroom but at
home as well. Having the ability to allow students to use computers at home to study or
do class related work would greatly maximize the students’ potential to succeed
educationally. So many benefits come from technology related education for so many
different types of students. This is a very important part of a developing mind in this day
and age considering the level of technology in our everyday lives.
Starting kids with computers early on in the classroom could very well be the
answer to better learning and educational opportunities for these students. Larry Cuban,
author of “Computers Meet Classroom: Classroom Wins,” asks the question of why
computers have yet to be implemented in school as the main source of learning with all
the talk of school reformation. This is the question that I also want to answer by
