Methods:
Roanoke, Virginia branch of the Phoenix Advertising has been producing poor advertising
work since the last few weeks. The company is losing its valuable clients and is also losing
key employees. An art director and an account executive have left the agency. Few other
people are threatening to quit the company as well. It is my understanding that for earning
lost revenues, company is accepting new clients without prior evaluation or investigation
of that effect on their current workload.
As the Vice President of the Human Resources department, I am obligated to find out why
that branch has issues that the employees are facing. I intend to conduct interviews. I will
conduct interviews with multiple departments. Interviews will also be carried out with the
top managers of all the departments. If any employee wants to discuss his / her issues, I
will schedule an interview with him / her as well. I plan that the interviews will uncover
the following questions:
Poor performance – reasons?
Leaving employees – reasons?
Few selected employees are planning on quitting – why?
Accepting new customers with no evaluation – why?
Financial problems – Yes / No. if Yes – Why? Reasons?
The series of interviews will close with suggestions from all employees in the form of a
survey. Survey with clients will also be conducted – to uncover more problems possibly.

Employees
1. Why do you think the top managers left the Roanoke Branch?
This will help in finding out the reason the top workers left this company. This information
will help to implement other ways that will eventually contribute to keeping other
employees.
2. Why do you think few other selected employees are about to quit this company? This
will assist in finding out the reason only selected employees is threatening to leave this
company. Also, this question may lead to more issues – perhaps someone is not working
for the good sake of the entire company.
3. Are employees satisfied with pay and compensation at Roanoke Branch? This will help
in finding out if the employees feel that they are getting paid enough for all their work.
Also, if there is anything more that Phoenix Advertising can do to improve morale among
all the employees.
Clients
1. Why do you think this company is losing its customers?
This question will undoubtedly help in knowing the main reason the Roanoke Branch is
losing its key clients. Any poor performance will be noted as well.
