Reading Reflection 4
Imagery essentially is a tool for describing something by providing a mental image to
allow others to understand. This is something important to teaching dance for several different
reasons, which truly feels obvious. Approaching the reading to begin with, I could already
somewhat imagine what it might be covering. In my years thus far dancing, I have not taken a
single class in which imagery was not used. Further, I have never choreographed a dance that did
not need imagery to put it on other bodies.
