Tax Fix
Tax laws are not always seen as fair to everyone. A tax law that does not
come across as fair to me is, law regarding the additional standard deduction.
According to the current tax law if you are over the age of 65 or blind you are
eligible for an additional standard deduction. In the IRS code book Section 63
allows an additional deduction of $1,550 or $1,250 depending on the filing status.
This law presents a major issue to me because it does not benefit a broad enough
group of people.
