1. Does Alfredo’s previous experience running a plant that made replacement windows qualify him to run
a plant that makes outdoor furniture? Justify your response.
As a plant manager, Alfredo role with his previous employer was to “The Plant Manager will oversee all
daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are
followed. They develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity.” The
fact he has been a manager of a plant that had products sold by national and regional retailers qualifies
him for the position.
His day to day tasks are mainly but not only:
– Plan, organize, direct and manage day–to-day operations optimally to exceed our clients’ expectations
– Increase production, asset capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining
current quality standards
