1. In your own understanding, how will you describe the nature and development of
table tennis?
– In my perception, the nature and development of table tennis have come along way. From the
very beginning with the British Army in India and South Africa, table tennis has flourished in
its own way that it has brought forth a place for itself in the list of sports in the Olympics.
Many has been changed with table tennis. From the size of the ball to the scoring system.
Moreover, the nature of the game has some similar characteristics to other sports such as
badminton and tennis where 2 to 4 players can play by hitting a ball (shuttlecock for
badminton) with a racket back and forth. With that being said, table tennis is something we
could also give appreciation because it is also in this sport where we can witness speed, fun
and above all, sportsmanship.
2. In your opinion, how do you explain the health benefits of table tennis or ping-pong in real
life situations?
– Table tennis is one of the many sports that is beneficial to our health. Not only that this sport
can also touch to our mental health (which is making our brains sharper), it has still many
benefits in stored for us once we immerse ourselves in the Table Tennis world and this is also
true to other sports such as badminton, basketball, etc. For improvements, this sport could
enhance our hand-eye coordination, reflexes and balance. As this sport also demands
endurance, table tennis could also improve our stamina which also helps in burning calories.
