Strengths:
•Wealth of Heritage – There is a large wealth of heritage around Ireland, some of those sites
include, The Burren, Céide Fields and NW Mayo Boglands, The Historic City of Dublin,
The Monastic City of Clonmacnoise, Early Medieval Monastic Sites The Royal Sites of
Ireland and Western Stone Forts. Ireland has a multitude of culture rich areas for tourists to
visit and explore (worldheritageireland.ie).
Major Airports (Dublin, Galway, Antrim, Down, Cork, Clare, Mayo, Kerry, Londonderry,
Waterford, Donegal, and Sligo) and highway access (M1, N2 N3, and N4) – Ireland is very
easy to navigate, there are many airports, cyclist trails, motorways, ferries, and railroads
(ireland.com).
Location to Dublin city center and other major cities in Ireland – it only takes 2 hours and
30 minutes to get from the west side of Ireland to the east side. And it takes a little over 7
hours to get from the north tip of Ireland to the south. Everything is very close to each other

Weakness:
Lacks of Hotels (particularly 5 star) – There are only 34, five star hotels in Ireland currently
(discoverireland.ie).
Poor signage – Road signs in Ireland are somewhat different from other signs in Europe.
They have bilingual signage and Ireland also uses kilometers to show speed. Ireland also
uses the more common warning signs that are used in the United States, Canada and parts of
Australia, but this type of sign usage is not used anywhere else in Europe (en.wikipedia.org)
Lack of affordable golf –because golf in Ireland is so popular, it is a little bit more expensive
to tee off then it is in the states. A golf trip can range from $1000 to $4,000, because of the
