“Sweeny Todd” has many differences between the Broadway production and the
Hollywood film. However, those distinctions between the two would be far too numerous to
distinguish in one five-hundred-word paper. Therefore, we will discuss the differences and
similarities between the main character, Sweeny Todd. First and most obviously we see that
there are two different people playing the role of Sweeny in the two productions. Second we see
that the appearance between the two characters is different but also the same in some areas.
