Sustainability Case
Becoming a sustainable business can be very tough and difficult to conform over to especially if
the company that you work with doesn’t produce something that can easily be broken back down or
reused. With our company, as much as we want to become a sustainable business, Interface has to
change the way they do things.
The level of social responsibility that my company is at economic responsibility. Economic
responsibility for us, economic responsibility means striving to ensure that we are profitable in order to
create long-term value for our stakeholders and contribute to a global and sustainable economy. Our
economic impact spans over customers, suppliers, governments and society at large. This company
generates billions of dollars in revenue each, but unfortunately the business could never be sustainable
at the rate it is going. The business uses 1 billion pounds of raw material extracted from the earth each
year.
For my company, I convey to my task force that I want to adopt an accommodative strategy. An
accommodative strategy will show that we are accepting responsibility for a problem we have. In this
