SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION
The study was conducted to evaluate the farm management practices of the backyard swine
raisers in ASF positive area, the case in Glan, Sarangani Province. The study specifically aims to
evaluate the farm management practices of the backyard swine raisers, their demographic profile,
different breeds of swine raised in Glan, Sarangani Province, problems encountered by the
backyard swine raisers, in regards to swine raising, and the profitability of backyard swine raising
in Glan, Sarangani Province.
According to the results of the study, majority of the respondents were married and have a
big sized family belonging to the age group called adults, which age ranges from 25 to 64 years
old. Most of them were female and elementary graduates only, which indicates that gender and
