Student Debt
The estimated outstanding college debt is at $1 trillion dollars and still soaring.
According to an article written by Mark Kantrowitz, more than 25% of students graduating from
college have way too much of it. These figures do not include students still in college who have
student loans. Almost half of the students aren’t even making the payments when required to do
so. Some of them may be a month behind and then some are going almost a year without making
any payments. Borrowing money for college tuition is very common and will continue to be a
trend. Over the last decade, student loan debt has grown at twice the rate of inflation.
What is the Controversy?
In the United States alone, 70 percent of people with a bachelor’s degree
