Lab Report 2 – Performance under Stress
1. Introduction – Explain what stress is, (good, bad, optimal) and how it may
influence a person’s performance on tests or other school related
assignment. (don’t give your opinion, give facts that you have learned in
class or found in research)
2. Purpose – The purpose of this experiment is to evaluate the effects of stress
on college students and their cognitive processing.
3. Hypothesis – If stress negatively affects cognitive thinking, then at least 80%
of the students will score lower on quiz #2.
4. Method – Provide a step-by-step process of how the data was collected. If
you don’t know this for some reason speak to another student in class or
your instructor. You do not need to include the stress questionnaire from the
text.
5. Results – Use a chart to show the groups results, only include the two
quizzes. Arrange the numbers, color code the numbers, or graph the number
so it might make better sense to the reader. Do not give your opinion of the
results, just numbers.
