According to Jonathan Kozol, the president down to individual citizens is to blame for the
current segregation that has appeared again. I would put the blame on individuals because
individuals make up the world and if they are not getting along then the world is separated.
There are certain instances where citizens show that segregation is still a thing such as
social media, face-to-face, and more. Jonathan Kozol stated that inner city school districts
are limiting minority students’ achievements rather than pushing them and motivating
them to succeed.I think that inner-city schools do represent a “moral failure” in America
because education is not given equally to everyone. If everyone was receiving the same
education, everyone would have the same morals. Nowadays, segregation is still a thing
so, morals are of different levels now. For example, there are still many people who feel
that minorities should not be giving the same opportunities as them. So this to be a “moral
failure” is true because morality is principles concerning the difference between right and
wrong or good and bad behavior. Many people do not see their actions as being a moral
failure, so what they think is morally right, is sometimes just morally wrong, and not equal
at all.
