For this topic, I chose Indian people to stereotype or judge. The first thing come to my mind
is the domination of men and elders in the Indian society, also in the family. Usually a traditional
family which concludes 3 generations: grandparents, parents, and children live together. And the
eldest male member is the head of the family. He makes all important decisions and other people
have to be obedient. Though women have high education or high position outside the house, they
are still in charge of cooking, cleaning, and taking care of the kids. Next, the marriages
arrangement is a special feature of Indian. This custom has been happened for a long time.
Today, the most of Indians have their marriages planned by their parents or the other respected
elder. Without first sign of love, this arranged marriage usually lasts long and the percentage of
divorce is very low.
Indian people is also named “ Smart people”. They are usually good at Math, Sciences,
and other vocational skills. Every year, Microsoft hires a lot of Indian IT engineers to come to
The U.S and work for them. Many great inventions, discoveries are done by Indian such as:
Architecture, Medicine, Information Technology, Space, Nuclear, Arts,…. Taj Mahah is one of
the 8 wonders of the world.
Indian dance is a outstanding feature of Indian cultures, which includes classical dance and
modern dance. I don’t understand very much about this art but I understand the dancer tells the
are associate with men’ s physical and sexual abuse of their wives.
