Rate My Professor
Go to the website www.ratemyprofessor.com and randomly select 16 of the faculty
members from Seminole State College and check their “Rate My Professor” profiles. See
if there is a linear relationship between the professor’s easiness rating (the x-variable) and
their overall rating (the y-variable).
State the data:
State the P-value:
0.0805
State the correlation coefficient:
0.4498
State the regression equation:
overall = 1.5235064 + 0.62731152 easiness
Window
Simple linear regression results:
Dependent Variable: overall
Independent Variable: easiness
overall = 1.5235064 + 0.62731152 easiness
Sample size: 16
R (correlation coefficient) = 0.44977702
R-sq = 0.20229936
Estimate of error standard deviation: 1.248345

Analysis of variance table for regression model:
You will need to turn in this with the data and the output window in MyStatLab.
Remember to find the information:
Stat>Regression>Simple Linear
Choose the confidence interval and keep it at the 95% confidence level.
Also, remember that if the P-value is not small enough, there is no relationship and you do
not have to find the rest of the information. (Check your notes).
