PRELIMINARIES: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE
About the course:
This course generally deals with concepts in Inferential Statistics and its application in business research and development. This
course provides student the concepts about the different statistical tools such as confidence interval, t-test and ANOVA, regression and
correlation analysis, non-parametric test, selected multivariate tests, and SEM. This course specifically equips students about the what,
the when, the why, and the how these stated statistical tools are being used in business research. Also, the use of computer in analyzing
data is offered in this course.
Course requirement:
This semester is divided into two terms, the midterm, and the final term. The duration of the semesters is 18 weeks, 9 weeks
each term. You are expected to answer all the enabling and summative assessment with in the prescribe allowable period. Also, you are
expected to perform all the indicated laboratory activities in the module following specific instructions. Your grade will be computed
using the formula below:
Enabling Assessment: 30%
Summative Assessment: 30%
Laboratory activities: 40%
Total: 100%
Take note enabling or summative assessment maybe in a any form such as quizzes, comprehensive exam, or output.
