Started With a Smile: The iPod Revolution
The documentary about the creation and evolution of the iPod made me see one of the roots
of one of the most successful technological companies at present time. Steve Jobs made a wise
decision of returning back to Apple, as he came up with the revolutionary product that skyrocketed
the company in popularity and sales. The iPod started as a vision: small gadget that can contain
thousands of songs and can be utilized with ease.
It is very inspiring to know that even if Steve Jobs made the perfect music playing device,
he still continued to surpass the versions he made, “generations” as he calls it. He became a very
accurate example of an entrepreneur, because he came up with newer versions of the products that
he made, as he exceeded the standards of the previous ones.
In addition to the iPod, having the capacity to contain music, Steve Jobs still created a
software called iTunes, talk about dedication! He didn’t only make Apple the only one to grow in
revenue, but also musical artists as Jobs made an online store where iPod users could purchase
songs. Later on, Apple came up with the white earbuds which made an impact of what the company
is; it is a smart move because the iPod had been paired with something it is perfect for.
