StarCraft D&D 3.5.1
What’s New?
This variant carries over everything from 3.5 save for equipment and traditional magic. So far,
there is only one race and one class, Protoss Templar. In the future, different sects may become
playable and be distinguished by different feats and minor differences in combat style, but for
now, any differences between characters is going to be solely the product of flavor.
Equipment will scale with character level and cannot be purchased (though it may be acquired
through circumstances). The greatest templar receive the best equipment, fancy armor, better
shield generators, etc.
Magic will be replaced by psionics. As with equipment, characters will become more psionically
gifted as time progresses, starting with little to no offensive psionic capabilities and eventually
being able to channel immense power.
As characters level up, their status in the Protoss hierarchy rises, increasing their influence. Over
time, it becomes possible for a character to control more and more forces. Should a character be
appointed by the ruling caste, they could even come to command fleets. A character gains a +1
bonus for every rank difference on charisma checks against a Protoss of a lesser rank, does not
apply to characters without a templar rank.
