Part 1
There are many different types of stakeholders that are involved with the topic of gun reform.
Three important ones would be the NRA ( National Rifle Association), The political parties (
Democratic party, Libertarian party and Republican party), and civilians ( We the people). These
people are very important in response to pushing gun control laws. Civilians would be the voice
of the group, the ones who voice their opinions to the legislators. Between NRA and these
political parties in could go either way. The reason for this is because before, the NRA was more
against firearms but soon sided with the republican party who was for firearms. These other
political parties such as the Democratic and Libertarian are against firearms. These are
stakeholders because they all gain or lose something. For example, if there was a ban placed on
firearms civilians would protest for their rights to bear arms and right of protection. Even though
there would be protest it would minimize the amount of massacres. Another situation with these
political parties is that if they place a ban which they can do either people would want them back
in office for doing what their views are or maybe not. For the NRA it’s mostly bad because they
would actually be losing money when firearms are not being regulated and bought anymore. As
to the civilians we have already done our part by letting the legislators know how we feel about
gun control and as there are two sides to these people of higher power need to take in account of
the millions of massacres that have been happening repeatedly and not about how it is someone’s
right to bear arms. Or, the government needs to ban military style weapons and accessories
making it harder to kill large amounts of civilians. An assault rifle could let off 100 rounds in 10
minutes killing hundreds of people. These assault rifles are also called high- capacity magazines
because they are capable of holding more than ten rounds of ammunition which allows the
shooter to fire more rounds without pausing to reload. The more rounds a shooter can fire, the
more gunshot wounds they can inflict during a attacks. This blatantly is a reason why these
firearms should be banned no exceptions. Why do civilians need to own any of theses gun? For
what exactly, is the purpose to go hunting? That is really just not an acceptable answer to me but
that is just my opinion. I couldn’t even give you an exact number of how many people who have
been killed by or killed from injuries by an AR. Even after you still have people with depression
who commits suicide. These are just some of the things we still have to deal with by not banning
firearms. Not counting 2018-2019 there has been more people killed in 2017 than any other year
of mass shootings. If banning all firearms in something that cannot be done well then
