Stage 5 Essay
What my research project was about was something that was very important to me and
related to my actual everyday life. It was the comparison between a 5th grade student vs an
adult and whether or not this way of thinking is passed down to them ,along with whether or
not how they think as a child is carried with them as an adult if not taught di$erently. Why I say
this was important to me was because I am a parent of three with two of them being a 4th and
5th grader which is in the state of having to do a lot of reading in school. What I was trying to
&nd out was several things. 1st I wanted to see what was the comparison of a child’s reading
comprehension vs that of an adult. 2nd I wanted to compare the data I gathers to the child’s
parent data and see if the parents level of comprehension was being passed down to the child
