St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
St. Jude Research Children’s Hospital it’s globally recognized as a leading center for
researching and treating children’s catastrophic disease. It is also known as the largest research
and treatment children’s cancer center. The most common treatments at St. Jude’s Research
Hospital are leukemia, brain tumor, stem cell transplantation, neuroblastoma and etc. St. Jude’s
exceptional medical team that consist of physicians, scientist’s and nurses are making things
possible, and they also are trying to provide the best services to the kids and their parents by
enabling the youngest one to have another opportunity to experience the joyful and carefree
childhood.
The main St. Jude Hospital is located in Memphis Tennessee. Yearly around 7,800
patients are treated there in which mostly are treated on a continuing outpatient basis, however
the hospital has 78 beds for patients requiring hospitalization during treatment, and also this
hospital accepts patients from each state. To accommodate the very young patients and their
parents St. Jude’s hospital has affiliation program, and there are seven hospitals in United States
that are affiliating with that can be closer to the children’s home. Those locations are: The St.
Jude Baton Rouge Affiliate Clinic- Baton Rouge, Louisiana, The St. Jude Affiliate Clinic at
Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital- Charlotte, North Carolina, The St. Jude Affiliate
Clinic at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children- Huntsville, Alabama, The St. Jude Tri-
Cities Affiliate Clinic-Johnson City, Tennessee, The Jim and Trudy Maloof St. Jude Midwest

Affiliate Clinic-Peoria, Illinois, The St. Jude Shreveport Affiliate Clinic-Shreveport, Louisiana,
The St. Jude Affiliate Clinic at Mercy Children’s Hospital-Springfield-Springfield, Missouri.

with each other to improve the results and the outcomes by establishing and implementing new
more effective treatments. This is a patient based hospital, and no child is denied treatment based
on race, religion or a family's ability to pay. Patients at St. Jude are referred by a primary care
physician, and most of them have a disease that is already under study.
The original and strong standing mission of St. Jude Research Hospital is to find cure to
treat the terrible diseases. The very remarkable medical specialists are working very hard and
