Struggles & Success
Inspiration can be gaining in either a personal testimony, or doing something hands on.
Obtaining an education goes hand in hand with individual inspiration as to why one does what
they do. Fredrick Douglas is known for being a famous African-American abolitionist, and an
escaped slave who struggled to obtain an education to reach his position in American History.
Comparing my resources and determination, Douglas’s has been inspiring along side my own
efforts to obtain an education. Inspiration can come from someone pushing themselves, or
having a reality check to get knocked back into the right path.
