The Cornfield
Damos, Holly, Conner, Cooper, Emily, and Skai were on their way to the cornfield party for the first day
of summer after school. While on the way to the party the sun was beginning to set and while almost
arriving at the cornfield there was a little girl on the side of the road crying. Cooper, who is also Conner’s
older brother, stops on the side of the road to pick her up. The crying girl white got inside of the vehicle
wearing very dingy and mysterious clothing. Holly asks the girl what her name is? The girl responds with,
“My name is Esther.”. Damos asks the girl why was she crying on the side of the road? The girl replies
with, “I was abandoned by my family.”. Skai tells Emily that Esther has a smiling face painted on the
back of her dingy clothing and finds it creepy but Emily thinks Skai is just overreacting about the random
girl because they do not know her. They all arrive at the cornfield party and when they all get out and
look for Esther but she vanishes into the cornfield. The group doesn’t think to go find her but instead they
go to the party. At the party Holly and Emily are talking to other friends from school about what the rest
of their plans for the summer are. Damos and Skai are eating the snacks and drinking drinks. Conner and
