Discrimination
Discrimination has always been a controversial topic. Over the years, the government has
created many laws and regulations to try and limit the amount of discrimination that takes place
in all aspects of society. As the Athletic Director, it is my duty to assure that we at Jefferson
abide by these laws and regulations that are associated with the process of hiring our new girls’
head basketball coach. After reading the criteria you have given for the job, I believe that there is
no discrimination present. However, what may become an issue is what happens with the top two
candidates you have presented.
I believe the criteria you have listed is perfect, it is not based on race, gender, religion,
sexual orientation, or disability. When I was able to take a look at the top two candidates I
noticed that you chose Stephen over Royce. I agree with this decision after comparing their
