Good morning, my name is Lisa. I am sure that all of you have played the game of Clue or
at least heard of it. What I am not sure of is if you have seen the movie that is based off of
the game. My best friend’s family has always had an extensive movie collection, and late
one night we stumbled upon Clue the movie. We excitedly popped the movie in and made
popcorn and surprisingly found ourselves sucked in. This movie is an important base to my
friend and I’s friendship. Picking a movie is the most critical part to a good movie night
and picking the wrong movie could be a total letdown, so over the next four to five
minutes I will give you a general overview of the movie and tell you why it could be the
perfect pick to complete your movie night.
The movie, released in 1985, portrays the board game clue, told through the eyes of the
butler (Tim Curry), who led a group of the regular clue characters such as Miss Scarlett
(Lesley Ann Warren), Mrs. White (Madeline Kahn), Mr. Green (Michael McKean),
Professor Plum (Christopher Lloyd), Mrs. Peacock (Eileen Brennan), and Colonel Mustard
(Martin Mull). The group arrives confused, they were all summoned by Mr. Boddy to
conclude in his blackmailing of them. Soon the initial murder is committed and the frantic
activities of the night begin. They run around the house in the pursuit of finding the killer
of Mr. Boddy. They question each other on who could be the killer, each in fear of their
