Soil Conservation
Soil Conservation is one of the most important factors in maintaining a
healthy ecosystem. It is the basis of nourishing plant life and thus supporting human
life. Not only plants rely on soil, but also any organism that consumes water. Soil
acts as a filtration system and keeps water supply clean.
America as a nation today does not pay as much attention as it should to soil
conservation and other ecological factors. There are multiple ways to prevent soil
erosion. These steps include:
• Planting grass or shrubs
• Adding mulch or rocks
• Using mulch matting
• Placing fiber logs
