SOCIOLOGICAL NARRATIVE
Homogeneity of language is one of the essentials in a society for it to continuously grow
and develop. Unity follows whenever this is present. It creates an environment where people
may be able to communicate their principles and standings freely. Furthermore, according to
E. San Juan, Jr. in his article “INTERBENSIYON SA USAPIN NG PAMBANSANG WIKA
SA EDUKASYON AT KABUHAYAN”, any contemporary issue that will be tackled about
language will only bring chaos. It has also been mentioned in the article that language has a
huge effect in globalization and modernization of one country’s civilization.
In line with the previous paragraph and in connection to the given paper to be critiqued,
it has been revealed that today’s society declines the adaptation and change in language.
Citizens of the Philippines somehow find the resemblance of this happening to the past where
Spaniards primarily used language as their leverage. This resemblance has been marked in a
“once colonized” society and has greatly affected nation’s principle regarding language
adaptation.
To aid this abiding effect to the Philippines’ countrymen, the philosophy of dialectical
materialism imbued with Marxism theories has been drawn on the table. Dialectical
