Forensic Speech: Should the United States Adopt More Socialistic

In a time of civil unrest, massive political divide, and a long-term global pandemic, citizens of the
United States are looking to their legislators for answers. However, the answers that are being discussed
between legislators of political parties is causing the divide between the two to grow further. My
perspective as a young college student, member of the workforce and father will undoubtedly shape
how I view certain policies. Although, the goal today is to examine how more democratically social
policies may impact the communities and demographics that are suffering the most through the
pandemic. These topics include universal healthcare and universal basic income.
