Socialization Paper Prompt
Each individual has a different past, which makes him/her one way or another. We have
been through different situations, good and bad times in life. And only our way of facing problems
and conflicts is what makes us grow, what makes us understand the world and the human
relationships.
I had always heard that the life of people is always marked by some specific event, an event
that makes you rethink your outlook on life. The kind of events that makes you begin to see life
differently. In mi case was a family situation, and I still remember it as if it was yesterday; it was
a “familiar conflict”: it was my parents’ divorce.
To analyze this conflict, I will take as reference a few concepts pertaining to our course
book. The first thing to keep in mind is that the main agent of socialization in this case is the
family. I am an only child, like my two parents, so my family is very small. And considering that
