Social Media as a Dangerous Tool in Society
Social Media was initially set up as a communicative tool. A tool that could either act as
a medium of interaction between friends and families across the world or a way to enlighten
people by spreading news very quickly. The mindset towards the development and design of
social media has gradually changed over the years, leaning mainly towards money and power
rather than good vision and positivity. Social media has deviated from the general standards it
initially begun with and is tilting more towards disadvantages than advantages. Social media,
instead of making the society free and sociable is making people fearful, withheld and less
interactive due to the vices portrayed on the platform. Some of these vices being; aiding
politicians move their negative agendas forward, acting as the top platform for the distribution
