Human attitude is the foundation of effective human relations management. The attitude
of a management towards his or her employees can have a significant influence on the general
attitude of the employee on works.
VF Corporation is a United States based company known for its lifestyle clothing,
footwear, sports outfits and also associated equipment. Through the lead of the CEO and chairman,
Mr Eric.C Wiseman, the organization has developed more than 20 distincts brands with their
positive approach. According to Burrus (2016), during his tenure, they have earned over $12
billion in revenue. In this case, his success may not be achieved without his self motivation and
the employees are willing to work for such a thoughtful company as they feel valuable and
fortunate.
From the case study, it shows the attitude of Mr Wiseman in the local communities is
illuminating. This can refer to how he has created many job possibilities for the people during his
tenure. For instance, the North face has transferred to the development opportunities of Barkeley
region in the year of 1968 which then started developing and producing their brand of technical
climbing equipment and also supplies. (North Face, n.d.). By doing so, he provides jobs to many
people which also contribute to society, even until today, the organization has 47,000 people who
are working in 150 different countries.
Besides, his attitudes towards its brands are very active and have brought success to the
company. The method in which he has grown the variety of products in his firm demonstrates his
forward-thinking attitude and drive to succeed. According to Wiseman, companies who are always
thinking forward and like to explore, rather than merely staying at their table staring at statistics
of last’s comparative stores will win. (Kearney, n.d.). For example, the company has made
investments in a 5 years plan to expand innovative brands and advancements that will attract
customers, resulting in rapid and more market to enhance the billions dollar garment dominant
force that owns top brands such as North Face and Vans. In the year 2015, VF launched the “VF
Innovation Fund,” which has funded more than 125 initiatives around more than twenty brands
and produced a two billion dollars portfolio of innovative ideas. ( Arcieri, 2015).
Furthermore, Mr Wiseman’s attitude to the employees is supportive and being encouraged
