SUBJECT: New Drug Testing Policy
It has come to my attention that a random drug test screening should be implemented in our
company’s drug test policy. Our current drug screening policy states that employees are required
to pass a drug screening in order to become employed. After this first test, no more drug
screenings would be implemented unless I or anyone of our supervisors suspected that an
employee was under the influence of drugs while on the job. After talking to our Branch
Manager, Company Attorney, and other clients, we have decided that it would be in the
company’s best interest to implement a new drug screening policy that would require all
employees to perform drug tests randomly. These drug screenings will happen randomly while
on the jobsite. By implementing this policy, I will be ensuring that on-the-job risks to our
employees and future homeowners are reduced and that our homes are being built with
confidence, honesty, and integrity. In this memo, it is my responsibility that all employees
