Introduction
SNAP means Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. It had been set in 1939 and it
was the most important program that government against hunger. The goal of this program is to
provide food subsidies for the poor family in order to ensure each of the poor would not hungry.
In 1990s, food stamps program suffered strongly opposed and resisted, it was criticized for cash
welfare. Thus, in 21st century, the United States department of agriculture food stamp stamps
system is put into its food security system. Not only the poor have enough food to live, but also
help them to eat better, safety, nutrition, and health. In 2008, the U.S. government renamed the
food stamps program to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Now this program are
helping 1/8 Americans and ¼ American children (baidu.com).
